This is my second "hotel" romance this year! Earlier I'd read Welcome to the Cameo Hotel and loved it. While Mogul does take place in a hotel for some parts, it has a vastly different, but delicious story line.
Ian Ford, is a Hollywood producer and workaholic. He's separates his private life from everything, due to some personal scars. Everything happens on his terms, but after seeing Sara he knows he has to have the adorable concierge. Even if it's for one night. Sara, is a bit unsure because she's never had a one night stand before. However, she knows she can't turn down a night with the hottest man she's ever met.
After their explosive night, the two try to move on. Sara is trying to make it big on Broadway, and Ian has a cluster fuck of issues to deal with. Fate has another plan. The two meet again, and jump back into their physical relationship. Both are wary, Ian more than Sara. He's unwilling to open himself to love again, after his wife betrayed him. Sara is unsure of being with him while he is undergoing a nasty divorce. She doesn't want to be the other woman, but she can't seem to stay away from the suit who she can't stop thinking about.
Katy Evans can write hotter than hell heroes, and Ian is no different. He oozes sex appeal and is commandeering, but I also found him vulnerable. Sara is also unsure at times. She is confused and torn between what logic dictates and what her heart wants. The sexy times are hot, and in signature Katy Evans style primal as hell.
4 stars.
