Mercenary Princess by Setta Jay is about Princess Sophia who leads a dangerous double life. She has spent the last few years cleaning up scum, trying to make the world a better place for the people in it. Sophia feels that as she is in a position of power, she owes it to others to do something about the people who choose to abuse their good fortune in order to har others.
Sophia is a do-gooder, in a world of sharks. She's been walking a very tight rope for the past couple of years. Her indulgence lies in her crush on the sexy Russian billionaire named Viktor. A man who had never paid her any attention, but all of a sudden she finds herself being scutinized by sharp eyes at a party. Eyes belonging to the man who has starred in her dreams since she was a teenager.
Now that she has his attention what is Sophia going to do?

I was pleasantly suprised by Mercenary Princess. Reading the blurb I knew it could either go one way or the other. Setta Jay has written an enjoyable read. I became invested in the story from the get go, and I kept on reading till I finished. I was happy that the characters were not caricatures, and that the heroine was not "perfect" in the traditional sense. I liked how she kept her head around Viktor, and while she indulged in him she didn't lose sight of her goals.
I looks forward to reading the other books in this series, and I am so glad I picked this one up!
