Synopsis:

A modern telling of a classic tale... This isn’t a typical love story. This is a story of what happens when love is so powerful and all-consuming that it has the ability to destroy everyone involved. It’s definitely not pretty and it’s certainly not a fairytale, but it’s their story and it couldn’t be told any other way.

Review:

Holy moly. What did I just read?

K. Webster and Nikki Ash you devious little kittens.

Heath is the modern day retelling of Wuthering Heights, and while I never liked the classic version of the story, I can totally get behind this version.

Mainly because of hot sex. Hehe.

Heath and Catrina Crenshaw come from two different worlds, but become unlikely friends. This friendship and relationship effects future generations from both families and this is that story.

Heath, oh Heath. Tortured and broody, he is perfect in his villiany. Heath is obsessive and destructive and he has an agenda. He's going to make the people who underestimate him pay.

Catrina... Well, I was a bit undecided about Catrina. Her character is vapid and shallow,  much like the original, but she's what the authors give you so you make do.

Heath's obsession is what drives this story, and his need for vengeance is what kept me reading to the very end.

The story is told in multiple POV's and although it was a bit confusing in the beginning, once you get into the groove of the story, it all becomes background noise. I was so invested in the main characters and secondary characters that finding out what happens to them is the main goal. And you stay that way till the very last page.

The story was seamless although its been written by two different authors, which goes to show the hard work that's been done by them. I have not read Nikki Ash before, but I will definitely check her books out now.

If you like unconventional stories that are taboo them this is one for you.

No apologies for the vague review 😁.
