Review:

This book had been narrated as a weekly audiobook in the Read Me Romance podcast, and this is where I'd first heard it.

I was waiting for the book to come out because the audiobook had ended with a kind of happy for now ending, and I wanted to see more into the characters future. I also have a hard time hearing sex scenes, so I wanted to read it, rather than hear it.

The book was one of Kristy's taboo treats, and like all of her taboo treats I loved this one as well. They all take place in the same world, so you get to see alot of your favorite characters.

August is an attorney. He's cold, and he's British, and has been cheated on by his wife. The man his wife marries is Winter's father, so he hates Winter by proxy. A fight between her father and her causes Winter to leave home in a fit. The place she goes to crash: August's house of course.

Recipe for disaster.

What starts as revenge, becomes something else entirely for August. The cranky old man realizes that this teenager has been through alot more shit, and she's not stupid and insipid like his ex-wife. Winter is smart, and August rralizes that early on.

For Winter life has been shit for the past few days. When she asks her father to choose between her and his new wife, he chooses the evil stepmother. But Winter's got plans. She's not going to let any old man tell her what to do, especially Augut whom she's crushed on since she's been a kid. She openly defies him, but her old feelings are quick to return. Maybe, just maybe, Winter had found her place.

I was very happy to see thag Kristy had given the story additional chapters, and we got to see the dynamic between the characters explored more.

Word of warning, if you don't like reading about hot forty year olds and barely legal teenagers, this is not the book for you. But if you do like that, then read on to your hearts content. And be sure to check out Kristy's other taboo treats.
