Review:
I have been waiting for this book since finishing The Legacy. The Legend is the story of the other successful man- Remington Wilde. This is a second chance romance, which I have a love hate relationship with. Love it because of the angst, and hate it because of the angst. Basically I love and I hate my angst, and this story is full of it. Misunderstandings? Check. Characters pining away for each other? Check. Sexual tension burning off the pages? Double check. The characters spent alot of time away from each other, which was necessary for the story, but like a dagger to my heart. They both grew and evolved without the other, and this is something I really enjoy about Dylan's characters, especially her women. I like how their goals are always kept into sight, and how they don't turn into "yes women" as soon as they met their men. Khalilah Greer was not different. She may have been out of her depth, but that girl did not back down from a fight. I really enjoyed how she made Remington work for it in certain scenes. Remington I experienced alot of frustration with. I tend to get frustrated with the male characters in the story more, because sometimes they make shit decisions, and I felt like Remington did make his own share of them. That being said he was also quite understanding and reasonable in certain situations which I appreciated. The family drama and the situation between the Rivers and the Wilde's gave this story that soap-opera-esque feel which I'm a sucker for. And that ending. Fuck me. It just about killed me. I cannot wait for book three cause I need to know what happens next. Like seriously.
