Synopsis

I’m the good girl from Ashton Hills. Rich. Pampered. Spoiled. Slowly suffocating under my mother’s stifling thumb. He’s the bad boy from Duncan. Poor. Abused. Criminal. Being swallowed by the darkness each passing second. Two lost souls searching for freedom and happiness. We’re lonely—broken—and trapped. Until the universe brings us together. Sometimes love is instantaneous. A supernova collision of emotions. Something that cannot be ignored. As our hearts tangle to the point they’ll never be able to part, the past comes creeping up like an evil villain. The mistakes of our parents become our consequences to face. We’re madly, deeply, foolishly in love. Soul mates who finally found each other. Two people who share the same father.

Review:

What happens when two queens of taboo romance get together?

They write a bombastic book that's what.

Like Dragonflies is an extremely taboo romance novel. And if you've read Hale by K. Webster, you know exactly what kind of taboo I'm talking about. It's not for the fainthearted, but if you take a chance, you won't be disappointed. Atleast I wasn't.

Sage Emerson has a good life. She lives in a nice house, had all the things she wants, but her life is stifling for her. Scared of upsetting her mother, she does whatever the woman tells her to. Sage isn't living for herself, she's living for someone else, and it's taking a toll on her.

Mars McKinneys life is the complete opposite. A brooding, beautiful, but troubled boy, he never had the chance to follow his dreams. Being sucked into a life of crime, everyday is a fight for this boy. A fight to stay alive, and a fight to keep fighting.

What they both have in common is the want to belong somewhere, to that person who'll understand them, deepest darkest desires and all.

One chance meeting, and these two meet. The rest is history.

Like Dragonflies is a sweet story, despite the taboo content. Mars is a good person, and Sage is his equal counterpart. Dare I say I was hoping for more taboo? Nevertheless I enjoyed this very much, and hope to see more collaborations by these two with more taboo content.

I wish Eden Books all the success for the future, and hope that it can become that safe place where authors can write what they desire.

4.5 stars.
