Review: I love the sell my virginity for money trope, but even I must admit that it's been done too many times. However this is Skye Warren, and I've read all of her books without being disappointed. A Skye Warren book is a treat for me, and this series was no less. Avery James is a high society girl. She lives in a castle and has all the good things life can offer. For all intents and purposes, Avery's life is a gilded cage, and she's trapped under appearances, when all she craves is freedom. Until her father is convicted of fraud and they lose it all. Avery exchanges one kind of gilded cage for another. This time she belongs to Gabriel Miller, a ruthless billionaire bent on revenge. And Avery is his tool. This duet was gripping, and captivating, and brought tears to my eyes. Skye's writing is, as always flawless, and hits all if my buttons. I enjoyed this extremely, and cannot wait to see what else comes from this world of interconnected characters that Skye has created.
