“BB Easton is a masterful storyteller at her very best with Praying for Rain. It's a story I'll remember always and reread often.” -- T.M. Frazier, USA Today bestselling author Praying for Rain, an all-new powerful and emotional love story from BB Easton, is available now! With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. People like Rainbow Williams. Rain isn’t afraid of dying. In fact, she’s looking forward to it. If she can just outrun her pain until April 23, she’ll never have to feel it at all. Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Why should the end of the world be any different? All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs. As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to survive and one who can’t wait to die. Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live. Before their time runs out.

Review:

BB Easton is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! I've read everything she's written, and loved it all. I was extremely excited when she announced she was writing another book, but a little wary when I found out it was going to be a book about the apocalypse. I'll read anything, but I've read books about the end of the world and felt meh. But this was BB Easton, so I knew I had to see what she'd bring.

And she did not disappoint!

Praying for Rain is so much more than what I expected it to be. Rainbow Williams is done with life. The world she knows has turned into a wasteland, and she's waiting for it to end. For Rainbow there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Wes Parker is the opposite of that. He's not going down without a fight. For Wes people have their different uses after which they are discarded, and when he meets Rainbow he keeps her around cause she's resourceful. Atleast at first that's the only reason, and it morphs into so much more.

This book is amazing, and BB does the opposites attract theme so well. The characters are entertaining as heck, and like all of BB's other books, have their distinctive voice. Even admist all ofthe chaos and melancholy, BB manages to inject that signature humour of hers in certain scenes.

I loved Praying for Rain, and am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. I can't wait to see what Rain and Wes do next and where BB takes them.

4.5 stars.
